Comité Científico Externo
El principal objetivo del Comité Científico Externo es asesorar a los grupos de investigación de la red.
Sus principales funciones son:
- Evaluar la calidad de la actividad científica desarrollada al amparo de la red
- Servir de apoyo en la puesta en marcha de la nueva red
- Evaluar la nueva red a los 4 años de su puesta en marcha

Mike Pringle
Professor Pringle was a GP on the Nottinghamshire-Linconshire border for over 30 years. He is emeritus Professor of General Practice in the University of Nottingham and was RCGP Medical Lead for Revalidation and Chair of Trustee Board in the RCGP. Professor Pringle was also Chair of RCGP Council 1998-2001; and is an ex-member of the General Medical Council; and ex-member of the Council of the Medical Defence Union. He has successfully undertaken RCGP Fellowship by Assessment and his practice continues to be at the leading edge of primary care developments. Professor Pringle was awarded a CBE for Services to Medicine in 2001. In November 2012, he took up the presidency of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP).

Irwin Nazareth
Director of MRC-General Practice Research Framework, Head of research Department of Primary Care and Population Health, University College of London, Director of Primary Clinical Trials (UKLRL fully registered). Professor Nazareth has demostrated how a GP can both a clinician and a researcher. He still works as a part-time GP, as well as an academic. He is an excellent supervisor and is keen to develop researchers.

Paul van Royen
University of Antwerp. Head of department of Primary and Interdisciplinary Care; Head of the GP/Family Medicine research groups. He was president of the European General Practice Research Network (EGPRN). Expertise on qualitative research. Topics of research: diagnosis reasoning, educational research, respiratory tract infectious, sexual health and STD, and diabetes.
